Minnesota Vikings Head Coach Brad Childress: Saved by the Favre

Interesting overtime game against the Arizona Cardinals, Vikings quarterback Brett Favre scored 2 touchdowns on 446 yards.  Adrian Peterson contributed to the team with 81 yards rushing with 2 touchdowns, 1 rushing and 1 passing.  Peterson’s late run finally pushed them within field goal range for kicker Ryan Longwell to a 27-24 win. The Vikings have a relatively easy schedule from now on, perhaps aside from the New York Giants.  Even with an average Minnesota Vikings defense, Brett Favre and his corps can beat the rest of the teams on their schedule.  The schedule and Brett Favre can save Brad Childress as long as the Vikings play as they should.  He should be thankful.  Well, that’s potentially one coach saved from the unemployment line…now that leaves two, Mike Singletary of the San Francisco 49ers and Wade Philips of the Dallas Cowboys.
